IP3 has provided technical assistance to twelve municipalities in Albania to support institutional reform and draft financial documents.

The first successful experience being carried out by the IP3 experts was the assistance provided to twelve municipalities in Albania to support institutional reform, local budget preparation and implementation, an adequate local fiscal package design as well as medium term budget framework as an important instrument for development of the cities.

Additionally, the team assisted the Municipality of Burrel to establish a Youth Centre managed by a Youth Commission. The goal of this Centre was to provide services to the youth in order to empower them and increase their role in community policy and decision making process. This center is still functional in order to support the municipality in its development program.
